✅ Summary:
This training video explains how team admins in standalone mode can use the Team section of the Advanced Search in PhoneBurner. If you’re not an admin or you’re part of a shared database (Networked account), this section won’t be relevant or visible to you.
Key highlights:
- Team admins in standalone accounts can search across all team members' databases.
- You can view, select, and take administrative actions such as:
- Move selected contacts to your admin account and assign them to a folder.
- Transfer contacts to other team members and place them into designated folders.
- You can search individual team members' contacts or multiple users’ contacts using Ctrl or Shift (on PC).
- The results show which user owns each contact, making it easier to manage or reassign data.
This feature is especially useful for:
- Locating a specific contact across accounts.
- Managing workload distribution.
- Overseeing team-wide contact data efficiently.

📝 Cleaned-Up Transcript:
As we continue working through the Advanced Search Training Module, I want to take a moment to talk about the Team section.
Now, if you’re not a team admin or you’re using PhoneBurner by yourself, or you’re the admin of a Networked/shared account, this section won’t apply to you. You’ll only see this option if you're a team admin in standalone mode, where each team member has their own separate PhoneBurner database.
So, what does this section do?
Let’s say I want to see all the contacts in Heather’s account. I can select her name, hit Search, and there we go—I can see she has 129 records in her account.
What Can I Do with These Contacts?
- Select them and take administrative actions, such as:
- Move selected contacts into my admin account and assign them to a folder.
- Transfer the contacts to another team member’s account, again specifying the destination folder.
You can also search across multiple team members. In the Team section, you can:
- Hold Ctrl (on PC) to select multiple team members.
- Hold Shift to select a range of users.
(On a Mac, use the Command and Shift keys.)
Once you’ve selected your team members and run the search, the system will show you which user owns each contact. For example:
- Sam Sample might be in Johnny Opener’s account.
- George Sample might be in Sarah’s account.
This is super helpful when you’re trying to locate a specific contact across the entire team and you’re not sure where that contact is stored.
Final Note:
You don’t have to use this section unless you specifically want to search across your team. By default, Advanced Search only searches your account.
That wraps up this training on the Team section in Advanced Search. I hope this helps you as an admin to get more done in less time with PhoneBurner.
Thanks for watching, and happy dialing!
