✅ Summary:
This training explains how to use the Tag section within PhoneBurner’s Advanced Search to locate contacts who have been tagged as “Hot”, along with additional filtering options. It walks through how to:
- Search for contacts with any, all, or none of selected tags.
- Find contacts with a specific tag (e.g., “Hot”) that do not have another tag (e.g., “Paid”).
- Use tags strategically to prioritize follow-up efforts—like revisiting engaged contacts who haven’t converted yet.
- Automatically add or remove tags during calls using dispositions.
This feature helps users target the right prospects, optimize call sessions, and maintain a clean, actionable contact list.

📝 Cleaned-Up Transcript:
Hey, quick question—do we have any contacts that we’ve called and tagged as "Hot"?
That’s a great question! At PhoneBurner, we make it extremely easy to search for contacts based on their tags using the Advanced Search feature.
This video is part of our Advanced Search training module, and in this specific training, we’re focusing on the Tag section.
Tag Search Options
When you expand the Tag section in Advanced Search, you’ll see three main dropdown options:
- Any / All / None
- Any (default): Returns contacts with at least one of the selected tags.
- All: Returns contacts that have all selected tags.
- None: Returns contacts with no tags at all.
Example:
Let’s say we choose “Hot” and “Paid”:
- “Any” returns contacts tagged with Hot or Paid.
- “All” returns only those tagged with both.
- “None” returns contacts with no tags assigned.
Does/Doesn’t Have Combination
There’s also a filter combination to find contacts with one tag but not another.
For example:
- You want everyone tagged as Hot (because you had a great call).
- But you don’t want to include anyone tagged as Paid (they’ve already converted).
Select:
- Has tag: Hot
- Doesn’t have tag: Paid
Then click Search.
Let’s say that returns 60 contacts—these are all hot leads who haven’t paid yet and are perfect for follow-up, especially if you're trying to close more deals at the end of the month.
Tagging Contacts
You can add or remove tags in two easy ways:
- Directly on the contact record
Open the contact and add/remove the relevant tag. - Automatically via Dispositions
Go to Dial Session > Settings > Dispositions.
For example, in a “Booked Appointment” disposition, you might:- Add the tag “Hot”
- Remove the tag “Paid” (to reflect a new sales cycle or updated status)
This allows you to maintain accurate segmentation on the fly while making calls.
So, yes—you can absolutely get a list of all contacts tagged as “Hot,” and even fine-tune it further with powerful tag-based filtering.
Thanks again for watching—and happy dialing!
