Searching Contacts based on Email Status

Absolutely! PhoneBurner makes this easy using the Advanced Search feature, where you can filter contacts based on their email status. This is another video in the Advanced Search training module, and we’re focusing specifically on the Email Status section.

When you expand that section, you’ll see two filter options:

1. Email Status
2. Email Confirm Status

Email Status

This allows you to search for contacts based on their current email status. The options include:

• Active
• Unsubscribed
• Soft Bounced Out
• Hard Bounced Out

This is incredibly useful if you're trying to build a call list and want to avoid calling people who have unsubscribed, or if you need to export that data and update an external database or CRM.

Email Confirm Status

Most contacts in your PhoneBurner account will show as Restricted by default. That’s because when you import contacts into the system, they automatically get that designation.

However, you do have the option to include an opt-in confirmation link in your emails. When a contact clicks on that link, they become Confirmed. While this doesn’t really affect how PhoneBurner sends emails, it gives you one more way to segment or qualify your contacts.

So if you’d like to find contacts who confirmed their email address, you can search for them using this filter too.

This is just one more powerful option you can use to build precise lists or extract meaningful data from your PhoneBurner account.
