đź“‹ Video Summary:
This video explains how to efficiently manage follow-ups in PhoneBurner without cluttering your calendar. Users can create a "Follow-Up" button that requires setting a follow-up date before clicking it. When used, the contact is automatically moved into a designated follow-up folder. To avoid a cluttered follow-up folder over time, the video demonstrates how to use advanced search and saved searches—specifically a pinned "Today's Follow-Ups" quick view—to only display contacts whose follow-up date is due today or earlier. The presenter also shows how to update a contact’s follow-up date directly from their record. Lastly, it walks through how to configure and add a follow-up button in dial session settings for streamlined follow-up management.

Hello there! Do you find yourself making phone calls with PhoneBurner and connecting with some people that you need to follow up with, but you don't necessarily want to clutter your calendar with them? You had a decent conversation, but didn't schedule a specific date and time to follow up?
Well, great news—PhoneBurner makes it extremely easy to better manage, organize, and follow up with those types of contacts. You can actually create what's called a Follow-Up button, as shown on the screen.
This follow-up button is configured in a way that requires setting a follow-up date before it can be clicked. Like any other button in PhoneBurner, when you click it, the contact is moved into a specific follow-up folder.
Let me show you what that looks like. The contact I was just calling—Bobby Drake—was assigned a follow-up date, and there he is, right in my follow-up folder, ready for me to follow up with.
However, you might notice a small issue: the more people you connect with and assign follow-up dates to, the more cluttered this folder becomes. That’s where Advanced Search and Saved Searches come into play.
I have a saved search pinned as a Quick View called "Today's Follow-Ups." This saved search quickly filters my follow-ups to show only the ones I need to care about today. As you can see, Bobby Drake is not on this list. Why? Because his follow-up date is not today or earlier.
On the right-hand side, I have a custom layout that displays the follow-up date for each contact. You can see I have two due today and three that are past due. I can select all and start a dial session or review and update them individually.
Let’s say Sasha Sample emailed me. I can open her record, go to the follow-up date field, and adjust the date based on the email she sent. After updating, when I return to my list—guess who’s no longer there? Sasha Sample.
Creating a button like this is easy. Just go to your Dial Session Settings, click Dispositions, and add a follow-up button to your dialing or live answer set. When configuring the button, choose the Set a Date option to make it a follow-up button.
Buttons like these make it super easy to manage and organize follow-ups effectively.
Thanks for watching this video. Happy dialing!
