✅ Summary
The video provides a comprehensive walkthrough of PhoneBurner’s Connect Score feature, which allows users to score phone numbers based on their likelihood to answer using real-world signals, carrier data, engagement history, and phone metadata. This proprietary feature enables teams to prioritize high-quality leads, filter or skip low-likelihood calls, and optimize dial sessions for better results.
The Connect Score is broken into three tiers—Starter, Growth, and Scale—each allowing users to score a certain number of phone numbers per month, with scores valid for 14 days. Users can manually score contacts, sort and filter based on score, or automate scoring and call skipping within dial sessions.
The training walks through different methods for using Connect Score, including:
Sorting and filtering contacts by score
Automating call skipping for low-score numbers
Assigning Connect Score controls to individual users
Leveraging the ARMOR® dashboard for reporting and analysis
Admins can manage Connect Score settings globally, while reps can be granted permission to override thresholds. Additionally, if using the ARMOR® dashboard, historical Connect Score data is available for deeper reporting and efficiency insights.

📝 Cleaned-Up Transcript
Hold up. Wait a minute. What is this button? “Score phone numbers.” That seems intriguing. Let's go ahead and click on it. What could go wrong, right? Let’s check it out.
Clicking on the "Score Phone Numbers" button takes us to PhoneBurner's proprietary Connect Score feature—an amazing capability within PhoneBurner.
At PhoneBurner, we help our customers make millions of phone calls and have strong relationships with top carriers. We use all the knowledge, data, and industry connections we’ve built to determine who is most likely to answer their phone. This is based on real-world signals, carrier data, engagement history, and phone metadata.
With this feature, you can choose which contacts and phone numbers to score, and PhoneBurner will rate each phone number individually based on its likelihood to answer—categorized as Low, Medium, or High. While we can't guarantee someone will answer your call (that depends on what you're calling about!), Connect Score gives you a data-driven edge.
Once scored, you can filter, sort, or even exclude contacts in your dial sessions based on these scores. It’s a powerful way to boost your efficiency and results.
Account Tiers & Pricing
The Connect Score feature is available in three plans:
Starter: Score up to 1,000 numbers/month
Growth: Score up to 5,000 numbers/month
Scale: Score up to 15,000 numbers/month
You can add additional scoring capacity at $15 per 1,000 numbers. Scores are valid for 14 days—after which they need to be refreshed due to changing data signals.
For example, I selected the Scale plan for my large team.
How to Use Connect Score
Once activated, you can start using Connect Score in multiple ways:
Option 1: Score and Skip Calls Automatically
You can enable a feature to automatically score and skip calls below a certain threshold (e.g., only call contacts with a Medium or High likelihood to answer). This is managed in your Dial Session Settings. Turning it on lets the system handle scoring dynamically as you and your team make calls.
Option 2: Manual Scoring
You can also manually score phone numbers. For example:
Go to your Contacts list
Select contacts like Nova, Monica, Robert, and George
Click "Score Phone Numbers"
You’ll then see scores appear (e.g., orange for Medium, green for High, red for Low), helping you decide who to prioritize.
Option 3: Sorting by Connect Score
Use the sort feature in the Contacts view to sort by Connect Score from High to Low or vice versa. Start dialing those with the highest likelihood to answer first.
Option 4: Advanced Search
Use the Advanced Search to find contacts based on their Connect Score:
Filter by High, Medium, or Low
Filter by those with or without a Connect Score
Combine with folder filters (e.g., only score contacts in your Follow-Ups folder)
Note: Scores are applied per phone number, not per contact. If multiple contacts share the same number, they’ll all reflect the same score.
Real-Time Use in Dial Sessions
Back in the Dial Session Settings, re-enable “Score and Skip Calls.” This ensures only Medium and High-quality numbers are dialed—Low-scoring numbers are skipped.
Example:
Start a dial session with 25 contacts.
If 7 of them have Low scores, the system will skip them.
You’ll only call the 18 contacts with Medium or High scores.
This also applies when using LeadStream—only contacts with acceptable scores will be dialed, and the rest will be recycled for future calling.
For Budget-Conscious Users
While we recommend rescoring every 14 days to maintain accuracy, you could create filters and tags to work with previously scored numbers. However, we do not recommend relying on scores older than 14 days, as phone data can change rapidly.
Team-Level Customization
Admins can:
Set a default score threshold for all users
Grant individual team members (e.g., Heather) the ability to override the default and set their own thresholds via Team Settings
Reps with this permission can go into their own Dial Session Settings and choose whether to enable “Score and Skip,” and what threshold to use (e.g., High only, or Medium and above).
Reporting with ARMOR® Dashboard
If you're an ARMOR® customer, you'll see Connect Score data integrated into your ARMOR® dashboard:
Historical Connect Score trends (we’ve been collecting data for over a year!)
Breakdown of contact and answer rates by Connect Score
Graphs showing efficiency and results by score
Even if you haven’t activated Connect Score yet, you’ll see where your current data lies on the dashboard, and you can opt to activate Connect Score to improve performance.
Final Thoughts
The Connect Score feature was built to help you connect with more people, not just call more numbers. It’s about optimizing your time and increasing your live answer rate.
Thanks for watching. We hope this helps you and your team get the most out of the PhoneBurner system. Happy dialing!
