If a verified number you have added to your Caller ID Library or a Number you have purchased from PhoneBurner, shows up on some contact's phones as an International/Russian number, here is what you need to know.
PhoneBurner sends numbers in E.164 format, which is the industry standard. That format is +1XXXXXXXXXX. We discovered that some carriers drop the 1, but keep the +. As a result, the caller ID of +1780xxxxxxx becomes just +780XXXXXXX, for example, +7 is the country code for Russia, so they are displaying Russia for the caller ID.
Given that each carrier determines how caller ID is shown, it's not possible to know which carriers are using the E.164 format, and which are not.
