While we don't have a specific set of system requirements, here are the recommended minimums at this time.
COMPONENT REQUIREMENT
Computer and processor:
Windows: For best performance, we recommend a processor within 2-3 years for the current generation of Intel/AMD/Mac processors. You should be fully up to date on all OS security patches and updates.
Windows 11 is recommended. The older the OS, the higher chance of encountering call quality issues.
Mac: A 2018+ model year is recommended.
Ipad specific requirements can be found here.
Memory Windows and Mac: 8GB RAM minimum, 16GB recommended
Browsers:
Most current browsers are supported at this time . Chrome is recommended as it has shown to have the best performance with the dialer, but current versions of Firefox, Edge and Safari will work.
We do not recommend Chromium at this time on Chromebooks, but we have had some users have success in using it.
IE 11 ( and prior ) is not supported right now as we use a more current version of Javascript programming that is not able to be used there.
Internet: A hard wired internet connection is recommended along with wired phone connection or wired headset and an internet speed of 1mbps upload and 1mbps download is recommended per user using the connection. ( you can test your internet speed at www.speedtest.net) . Wireless/Bluetooth headsets tend to reduce quality of calls or in some cases do not work at all with Phoneburner.
For more information, see here.
Mobile Phone usage is supported for dialing only at the time, not for running the dialer software and dialing at the same time or with use of the softphone/vphone system. If you are using a tablet, you may have success dialing with a browser in desktop mode, but some users do report instability with this usage.
Background Operations: If you are running a Java Script heavy CRM while simultaneously using the dialer along with any in-office communication software like Slack, it can use up a lot of background resources that can affect your call quality. It is recommended to have as few browser windows and other programs running as possible to allow the dialer to function at its best quality.
Some Browser plug ins can also cause disruption of dialing and if you experience dialer issues, it is recommended to disable plug ins you do not need. If you needed, you can re-enable them one at a time to narrow it down to one that may be causing issue.
