Are you using custom call outcomes to track how effective you and your team are when making outbound calls? If so, I want to show you how to take advantage of custom call outcomes in HubSpot while also leveraging the PhoneBurner power dialer.
HubSpot gives you the ability to create custom call outcomes so you can report on the results of those calls and really understand what’s happening with each and every interaction. PhoneBurner allows you to create custom dispositions.
To do this, go to your PhoneBurner account, click on the settings icon in the upper right-hand corner, go to "Dial Sessions," then click on "Dispositions." Here, you can create different sets of disposition buttons for you and your team to use while making calls.
For example, here's a set of buttons I could use during calls with PhoneBurner. Each disposition has what's called a status. That status is what drives the call outcomes in HubSpot. It’s very easy to sync these together—all you have to do is ensure that the dispositions on the PhoneBurner side match exactly with your custom call outcomes in HubSpot.
For instance, if I have a custom call outcome in HubSpot labeled "Interested," and in PhoneBurner I have a button labeled "They Are Interested" with a status of "They Are Interested," those don’t match. To fix this, simply edit the disposition in PhoneBurner and change the status to match the exact wording used in HubSpot. The button label in PhoneBurner doesn’t matter—only the call status needs to match.
Now, you can of course create more custom call outcomes in HubSpot. I won’t go into detail on that part, as you likely already know how to do it.
Once you’ve saved the matching status in PhoneBurner, you can make a call. Find a contact, start a dial session, and ensure you're using the appropriate disposition set—like our "Starter Live Answer" set. Click "Continue," get connected, and begin dialing.
During the call, you'll see the set of dispositions. Click on "They Are Interested" (again, the label doesn’t matter—it’s the status that counts). Then, click to view the record in HubSpot. You’ll see the call has been logged, and when expanded, the outcome is listed as "Interested." If the call status from PhoneBurner doesn’t match exactly with one in HubSpot, HubSpot will default to setting it as "Connected."
To recap: when configuring your PhoneBurner account, go to "Dial Session Settings," then "Dispositions," and edit any disposition to make sure its status matches exactly with your custom call outcomes in HubSpot. If you want a new status available in HubSpot, go ahead and create that custom call outcome there.
That’s how easy it is to use custom call outcomes in HubSpot in conjunction with the PhoneBurner power dialer. This integration helps your team power through calls—up to 60 to 80 dials per hour—while ensuring accurate call tracking.
I hope this helps you and your team get more done in less time. Thanks again, and happy dialing!
