Please note: Due to the added complexity, there is an administration fee of $250 for each sub-admin set up added to your team. Sub admins are billed individually for their account, if dialing, and all users under them.
Understanding the limitations of having a sub-admin and how to add additional admins:
Every team account has an Admin account to manage their users, however, on occasion an admin needs additional Admin accounts and this document is designed to show you what you can and can’t do with additional admin accounts.
First I want to point out that we typically refer to these additional admin accounts as Sub-Admins. We do this because they are their own separate team account but within the Master-Admin group.
When thinking of additional Admin accounts within PhoneBurner it is important to understand that they are more like Russian Nesting dolls than additional user logins that can be granted Admin rights/privileges.
A typical use case for a sub-admin within the PhoneBurner system is with different divisions within the company. Each division may have a manager and that manager is over specific users.
*You are able to have one "Master Admin" with full access to the account and then you can have "Sub-admin accounts" but there are some rules to this as PhoneBurner uses a tiered structure in accounts.
A: Sub admins do not have access to the Main admin account settings or folders and though they may see shared folders, they can't see the contacts in them in a Standalone team.
B: Sub admins only have access to users placed directly under them in the account.
C. If the team is using Local ID and the Sub-Admin is a dialing seat, they will not have access to the Local ID's purchased in the Master Admin account when dialing and it would have to be purchased by the admin directly over the dialing users to be able to use it. The same goes for our vPhone as it cannot be moved with a user from one admin to another, so if they have it, a new number would have to be purchased under the new admin .
In the example above, The Master (Super)Admin has access to all accounts in the tree , but to access Dialing agent 7, would have to Log-in as Sub Admin Team A and then Log-in as Dialing agent 3 to access team reports or log in as dialing agent 7 .
Dialing Agent 5 is directly under the Master (Super) admin , so that account can be accessed and reported from the Master (Super) Admin account.
Sub-Admin for Team A cannot access reports from Sub Admin Team B or for anyone directly under the Master Admin, and Team C sub admin can only access info on agents 6 and 7.
If the Master Admin is using Local ID, then Agent 5 would have access to this, but users under the sub admins would not be able to use the feature.
D. Sub admin accounts are billed separately from the main admin and must have a credit card entered in the billing info.
To make a user a Sub admin, please add the user from your team page, then please call support at 1-888-928-7637 for assistance in changing the account .
Let us know what user you want as sub admin and if any of your existing users should be moved under them or how many seats you want under that sub admin.
Please note: There is an administration fee for adding a sub-admin set up to your team. Sub admins are billed individually for their account and all users under them.
