✅ Summary:
This training video explains how to set up an automated follow-up system for contacts marked as “Not Interested” in PhoneBurner. Rather than losing track of these leads, the system can recycle them into a nurture campaign using a RoundRobin LeadStream.
Here’s how the process works:
- A custom “Not Interested” disposition moves contacts into a shared Not Interested folder.
- A RoundRobin LeadStream is created to monitor that folder, assigning contacts to the admin only (no need to share with team members).
- After a 30-day recycle period, those contacts are automatically moved into a nurture lead stream, where they can be worked again by the team on a recurring schedule (e.g., every 30 days).
- Admins can simulate recycling immediately or allow it to happen during the nightly reset.
- Notes and history remain attached to each contact when it resurfaces.
This setup allows teams to systematically re-engage cold leads without manual intervention, helping reps focus on high-priority contacts while maintaining long-term prospecting.

📝 Cleaned-Up Transcript:
As you and your team make calls using PhoneBurner, you’re going to encounter contacts who tell you they're not interested. They might phrase it differently or you may categorize it differently, but ultimately it means they’re not interested right now. That doesn't mean never—often it’s just a timing issue.
So when someone says “not interested,” your goal shouldn’t be to forget about them. Instead, you should give them space—maybe 30, 60, or 90 days—and follow up later. In this training, I’ll show you how to automate that follow-up using PhoneBurner’s RoundRobin LeadStream feature.
Let’s walk through how to systematically recycle “Not Interested” contacts into a nurture campaign that follows up with them over time.
Step 1: Dispositioning a Contact as Not Interested
While dialing, you can click the “Not Interested” disposition. The system will immediately move that contact into your Not Interested folder (assuming that’s how you’ve configured your dispositions).
Now, what happens next?
Step 2: Create a RoundRobin LeadStream for “Not Interested”
From your admin account, go to the LeadStream section.
- Click Add LeadStream
- Name it something like:
Not Interested RR(RR = RoundRobin) - Description: “Automatically moves contacts marked as not interested into our nurture campaign after 30 days.”
- Type: RoundRobin
Step 3: Configure Folders
Distribution Folder:
Use your Not Interested folder. If this folder is nested under the default Contacts folder, you’ll need to move it out first since the Contacts folder is excluded from lead streams.
Receiving Folder:
Create a new folder called Not Interested RCV and make it a subfolder of Not Interested.
Recycle Folder:
This is where contacts go after the 30-day delay. Select your Nurture Calls folder (linked to your nurture blind pull lead stream).
Set the recycle time to 30 days and keep the “From time lead was distributed” setting.
No need to sort by custom fields or hide totals in this case.
Step 4: Assign Recipients
This is different from your usual lead streams. Only the admin should be added to this LeadStream—nobody else needs access, since reps won’t be calling from this stream. The leads are just passing through en route to the nurture campaign.
Step 5: How It Works in Practice
Once the system is live:
- When you disposition a contact as Not Interested, it's moved to the Not Interested folder.
- The Not Interested RR LeadStream picks it up, immediately assigns it to the admin, and starts the 30-day recycle timer.
- After 30 days, the contact is automatically recycled into the Nurture Calls lead stream.
- The original notes and history stay intact, so when reps dial again, they’ll see that the contact was marked "Not Interested" and when.
You can view the status in the Not Interested RCV folder. If needed, use the “recycle now” button (the crisscross arrows icon) to manually trigger processing.
Example: Start to Finish
Let’s say you’re dialing from “Hot and Fresh.” You start a call session and dial someone. If they answer and say they’re not interested:
- You disposition them as Not Interested.
- The system moves the contact to Not Interested > assigned to admin.
- The 30-day timer begins.
- After 30 days, they move into Nurture Calls, where a rep will call them again based on that lead stream's settings.
Bonus: Use Dispositions to Trigger Other Campaigns
You can do the same thing for other scenarios. For instance, create a “Follow-Up in 30 Days” disposition. Set it to move contacts to a “Follow-Up in 30 Days” folder that’s tied to a roundrobin stream and recycled later into another follow-up campaign.
By pairing custom dispositions with automated recycling, you unlock a ton of flexibility in how you manage lead follow-up.
Thank you for watching! I hope this helps you and your organization get more value from your data using the power of PhoneBurner.
Happy dialing!
