This is a specific type of LeadStream built for real-time lead delivery. When new leads are added to the stream, assigned reps are instantly notified so the first available rep can claim the lead and start calling right away.
Setting Up a Lead Blitz LeadStream
As an admin, head to the Contacts tab. Click the gear icon on the right, then go to LeadStream. Click Add LeadStream.
- Name the stream (e.g., "Lead Blitz Hot and Fresh").
- Add a description, like: "This lead stream is for real-time leads so reps can be notified and claim them quickly."
In the details section:
- Set the LeadStream type to Lead Blitz.
- Define a distribution folder (where leads are delivered). You can create a new one by copying the stream name.
- Choose a receiving folder (where the lead goes once claimed), such as "Lead Blitz Hot and Fresh RCV."

Lead Recycling Strategy
Decide whether to recycle leads. In most cases, you’ll want to give reps time—days, not minutes—to work hot leads. You could recycle them into a nurture stream or even back into a Blind Pull LeadStream for broader follow-up.
Also, enable "reset recycle timer when lead is called" so leads don’t get pulled away from reps who are actively working them.
Skip the “Sort by Custom Field” and “Hide Total” options here—they're not needed in a Lead Blitz stream since leads are claimed instantly.
Adding Recipients
Click Add Recipients to assign reps:
- You can add them all at once or individually.
- Set daily lead limits to prevent one person from claiming every new lead.
For example, with 3 reps and 15 leads/day, set a daily limit of 5. But if your lead volume is higher, make sure you’re not capping reps too low and letting leads sit unclaimed.
Activating Notifications
Once recipients are added:
- Each team member must enable in-app notifications in the Leads tab so they receive alerts when a lead is posted.
- As an admin, you can log in as a team member to help enable these notifications.
How Leads Get Posted
You can use:
- Zapier
- A lead vendor
- The PhoneBurner API
When working with vendors, send them the posting instructions generated for your distribution folder. This includes:
- Vendor API endpoint
- Required fields like name, email, phone
- Custom field mappings (key-value pairs)
- Your unique user ID and CM ID (distribution folder ID)
Each vendor should post leads with these details so they're properly routed into the lead stream.
Simulating a New Lead
To test:
- Use Add Contact to simulate a new real-time lead.
- Enter basic info and assign the lead to your Lead Blitz distribution folder.
- Once added, all team members will get a notification pop-up.
They won’t see lead details in the alert, but will know which LeadStream it's from and the vendor name (if configured). Clicking “Claim It” will:
- Move the lead into the user's receiving folder
- Initiate a phone call to the lead
If the call connects, they can have the conversation and disposition the call accordingly (e.g., “Set Appointment”). Based on the disposition, the lead will move into the appropriate folder, like Appointments, or follow a recycle rule.
