✅ Summary:
This training video provides an overview of the different types of lead streams available in PhoneBurner through the LeadStream feature. It covers four primary types:
- Blind/Preview Pull – Offers flexibility, allowing users to either blindly dial from a pool of leads without seeing contact details (blind pull), or preview and claim specific leads (preview pull).
- RoundRobin – Automatically distributes leads evenly among assigned team members without the need for manual splitting.
- Lead Blitz – Notifies all assigned users when a lead is added to the stream; the first to claim it gets the lead, promoting fast follow-up.
- Preview Pull – Allows users to view available leads and choose which ones to claim, useful when setting daily lead limits or when reps want control over which leads to call.
The video emphasizes how admins can set up these lead stream types in the LeadStream dashboard and manage the flow of leads effectively. Each type is best suited for different workflows and use cases, and additional training videos provide deeper dives into setup and strategies.

📝 Cleaned-Up Transcript:
When it comes down to it, PhoneBurner gives you a lot of options when it comes to distributing leads or contacts to your team using LeadStream. That’s what we’re going to talk about in this specific training—we’ll cover all the different types of lead streams you can create in PhoneBurner to help distribute data to your team.
This video is part of a training series. Hopefully, you've watched the others and will continue watching any you haven’t seen yet, so you can get a full understanding of all the capabilities available for lead distribution.
On screen, you’re seeing an example of a preview pull style lead stream. Other types include a blind pull lead stream—where you can see that leads are available, but you can’t view details like names—and the lead blitz type, where you get notified as soon as a lead becomes available, and you can call it immediately. There’s also the roundrobin lead stream, where the system automatically distributes leads from the pool to everyone eligible to receive them.
Let’s go through each type:
Accessing Lead Streams
Go to the Contacts tab, click the gear icon in the upper right, then select LeadStream. You’ll see a list of all your lead streams and their types. Let’s edit the “Hot and Fresh” lead stream.
There are three main types of lead streams:
- Blind/Preview Pull
- RoundRobin
- Lead Blitz
Blind/Preview Pull
This is really two lead stream types in one. It allows you to mix and match how different users access leads. For example, one user can be set up for blind pull, another for preview pull.
Blind Pull: You create a pool of leads and make it available to team members. These users can work through the leads without seeing the actual contact information ahead of time. In our example, the “Hot and Fresh” lead stream has 174 leads, pulled from the “Hot and Fresh” folder. Admins manage which leads are in the folder. Team members just go to the Leads tab, select the lead stream, and start dialing. The system randomly pulls data from the pool, and multiple users can call from the same list simultaneously without overlap.
Preview Pull: If a user is set up as a preview pull user, they can see the full list of leads in the pool and manually choose which leads to claim. Once claimed, the lead is removed from the pool, and no one else can access it. This is especially useful if users have daily lead limits or want more control over who they’re contacting.
RoundRobin
Next, let’s look at roundrobin lead streams. These are great when you want to evenly distribute leads to your team members. You don’t have to manually divide an Excel sheet into equal parts. Once you assign users to a roundrobin lead stream and add contacts, the system automatically distributes leads evenly among the assigned users. It's a very efficient way to handle balanced distribution.
Lead Blitz
Finally, there’s the lead blitz lead stream. It’s somewhat similar to a preview pull. When a lead is added to a lead blitz stream, all assigned users are immediately notified. The first one to claim the lead gets it. If a user dismisses the notification, they can still go into the lead stream and claim it later if no one else has.
The key benefit here is real-time responsiveness. The lead goes directly into the receiving folder of the user who claims it. If claimed immediately, PhoneBurner will even initiate a call to that contact right away. If the contact answers, you can disposition the call just like any other one-click call or inbound call.
That was a quick overview of the different types of lead streams. We cover each of these in greater detail in other videos with various examples and setup instructions. If a specific type of lead stream interests you, be sure to watch the corresponding training that shows how to set it up from start to finish.
Thanks for taking the time to watch this video. I hope it helps you and your organization get the most out of the PhoneBurner system.
Happy dialing!
