Summary:
This training video focuses on how to use the Manual Trigger Web Hook feature in PhoneBurner. Unlike automated web hooks that trigger on events like call disposition or unsubscribes, manual web hooks give users the option to send contact data to an external URL on demand. The trainer demonstrates how to set up a manual web hook using Zapier and shows how the "Send to Webhook" action appears both on contact records and within dial sessions. Once the webhook is configured, agents can trigger it at any point—before, during, or after a call—giving flexibility for custom data handling or CRM updates. The video also shows how to map the payload to a Google Sheet for real-time logging.

Cleaned-up Transcript:
Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video. In this training, we're continuing our discussion on web hook integration options in PhoneBurner. Specifically, we’re focusing on the Manual Trigger Web Hook.
We’ve already covered automated web hooks—like those triggered when someone clicks a disposition or unsubscribes. But sometimes, you might want to trigger a web hook manually. That’s exactly what this feature enables.
Let’s walk through how to use it and where it appears in PhoneBurner.
As always, I’ll be using Zapier for demonstration purposes, but you can use any platform or even your own system to process web hook data.
Step 1: Set Up the Web Hook
- In Zapier, create a new Zap.
- Name it “Manual Web Hook.”
- For the trigger, select Webhooks by Zapier and choose Catch Hook.
- Skip the child key, click Continue, and copy the webhook URL.
Now, go to PhoneBurner > Settings > Integrations > Web Hooks, and paste this URL into the Manual Web Hook box. Click Save Changes.
Step 2: Use the Web Hook
- Go to the Contacts tab.
- Open a contact record, such as Patty Closer.
- Under the Actions menu, you’ll now see Send to Webhook—this only appears once the webhook URL is saved.
If you remove the webhook from settings and refresh, the option disappears. Add it back, and the option reappears.
Clicking Send to Webhook sends contact details to the configured endpoint.
Step 3: Process the Data
In Zapier, click Test Trigger to confirm the data is received. You’ll see basic contact information such as name, phone, email, contact ID, and status.
Let’s now log this data into a Google Sheet:
- Choose Google Sheets as the action.
- Select Create Spreadsheet Row.
- Create a new tab in your Google Sheet called “Manual Web Hook” and add column headers like:
- Contact Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Contact ID
- Status (or PB status)
Back in Zapier, map these fields using the data from the webhook. Click Continue, run a test, and confirm the data appears in your sheet.
Step 4: Use Within a Dial Session
This manual web hook also works during dial sessions.
- Start a dial session.
- When calling a contact (e.g., Patty), you can use Send to Webhook from the dial session window.
- This option is available while the phone is ringing, during the call, or after you’ve hung up.
In the demo, we clicked a disposition (e.g., “Wrong Person”), then paused and clicked Send to Webhook. This action sent updated contact info, including PB status, to Zapier, which then logged it in the Google Sheet.
Note: Be sure to publish your Zap so it can run live. Once it's on, the manual trigger works instantly.
This manual web hook works alongside automated web hooks—so both can run independently.
Thanks again for watching! I hope this helps you and your team get more done in less time using the power of PhoneBurner. Bye for now, and happy dialing!
