Summary:
This training focuses on configuring and using the Call End web hook in PhoneBurner. The Call End web hook is triggered when a call is dispositioned—marking the true end of the call. The trainer demonstrates how to create a Zap in Zapier using a Catch Hook trigger to log call details such as contact info, call result, duration, connection status, and recording link into a Google Sheet. This real-time integration allows users to automatically capture and organize post-call data for reporting or automation purposes. The video emphasizes not to reuse the same web hook for both Call Begin and Call End events, as they contain different data structures.

Cleaned-up Transcript:
Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video. In this training, we’re continuing our discussion on the web hooks feature in PhoneBurner—specifically focusing on the Call End web hook.
Hopefully, you’ve already watched the videos on the Call Begin web hook and the general web hook overview. So, what exactly does the Call End web hook do?
The Call End web hook allows you to send contact information from PhoneBurner to a web hook URL of your choice at the end of each call. And by "end of the call," we mean after the call has been dispositioned. The call isn’t considered truly finished until it’s dispositioned—especially if you had a live conversation and need to finalize notes and updates.
As always, I’ll be using Zapier for this demonstration.
Let’s get started:
- In Zapier, click on Create Zap.
- Name it “Call End.”
- For the trigger, choose Webhooks by Zapier and select the Catch Hook option.
- Click Continue, skip the child key step, and copy the webhook URL.
- In PhoneBurner, go to Settings > Integrations > Web Hooks and paste this URL in the Call End web hook field.
Important: Don’t reuse the same web hook URL for both Call Begin and Call End. Each event sends different data.
Additionally, it is IMPORTANT to Note that adding a webhook to the "Call End" field in your admin account here: https://www.phoneburner.com/settings/developer/webhooks/index will only affect your personal settings. If you are looking to trigger the same webhook for everyone on your team when a call is dispositioned you will need to either add this to each individuals account or you may want to consider using the webhook on Disposition option and then share your dispositions with your team and there is another article for that
Next, we need to generate some test data. In PhoneBurner:
- Start a dial session.
- Click a disposition like “No Answer” to trigger the Call End web hook.
- Back in Zapier, click Test Trigger, and you’ll see a payload with details such as:
- Call disposition status
- Call duration
- Connection status
- Contact and agent information
Let’s do something with this data. We’ll log it into a Google Sheet.
- Choose Google Sheets as the action.
- Select Create Spreadsheet Row.
- Go to your Google Sheet and create a new tab named Call End.
- Add headers like:
- Contact Name
- Caller Name
- Phone Number
- Contact ID
- Call Result
- Call Duration
- Connected (Yes/No)
- Call Recording (if available)
Now, back in Zapier:
- Choose your Drive and spreadsheet.
- Select the Call End tab.
- Map the incoming data:
- First and last name for both the contact and the agent
- Phone number
- Contact ID
- Disposition status (for result)
- Duration (in seconds)
- Connection status (1 = connected, 0 = not connected)
- Call recording URL (if enabled)
Click Continue, test the action, and you’ll see the data appear in your sheet.
Once everything looks good, publish the Zap.
Now when you disposition calls in PhoneBurner, those call details will automatically log into your Google Sheet in real time. This is the power of web hooks—automated, instant data transfer between systems.
And of course, you can customize what information is passed and how it’s handled based on your organization’s needs.
Thanks again for watching this video. I hope it helps your team get more done in less time using the power of PhoneBurner. Happy dialing!
