There are four known reasons you may get a message that there are no contacts selected when trying to start a dial session in PhoneBurner.
Here are the things you should check:
1. Did you actually check the box to select the contacts?
2. Does your list filter have an "Equals" Date? If it does, this needs to be changed to a "Less than" and "Greater than" date around the date you want to have it allow you to select contacts. This is a bug in Salesforce that affects other applications as well.
3. The less common issue that can cause this is custom phone fields in Salesforce.
If you have custom phone fields and the only phone numbers for your contacts are in those fields, you may need to map these in your account ( for a team the administrator will need to do this)
You will need to know the Saleforce API name and enter into the Salesforce Integration settings
Salesforce API name : Each custom field has its own API name in Salesforce. To access this name, click Setup -> Customize -> Contacts -> Fields. Locate your custom phone fields and copy-paste the value from the "API Name" column. Repeat these same steps for Leads by opening Setup -> Customize -> Leads -> Fields.
4. Make sure none of your contacts have apostrophes within the contact name as this will also cause this error.
* Great news! We have resolved this issue with the apostrophe's with the Phoneburner app in Salesforce version 4.7. So, if you come across this problem, you should definitely consider upgrading to the latest version.
If you have checked all of these things and still getting the No Contacts Selected error, please contact support.
