Hello there, and thank you for taking a moment to watch this video.
In this training, we’re continuing our Salesforce integration series for PhoneBurner®, and today we’re doing a test dial session.
If you've already:
Installed the PhoneBurner app,
Added the Begin PhoneBurner Session button to your Leads object…
…then you’re ready to start calling.
Step-by-Step: Test Dial Session from Leads
From the Leads tab, select one test record.
Click the dropdown and choose Begin PhoneBurner Session.
You’ll be taken to a Visualforce page where you can sort your session by:
Lead Name, or
Company Name. (This matters more when you're dialing large lists.)
Click Launch Dial Session.
A new window opens. Enter your PhoneBurner login credentials.
Dial Session Configuration
Now that you're logged in:
You’ll see dialer presets, which bundle your call settings (like voicemail drop, email follow-ups, dispositions).
Select the appropriate preset—e.g., “First Attempt”.
Then, get connected:
Either call in with your phone, or
Use your computer headset.
Once connected, your first call begins.
If they answer, have the conversation.
If they don’t, just click your voicemail button and move on.
What to Check in a Test Call
For this first test, focus on:
Confirming that the lead detail iframe appears properly in the dial session window,
Verifying you can edit lead fields directly in the iframe,
Making sure any edits are saved back to Salesforce,
Clicking a disposition button (e.g., “Set Appointment”) at the end of the call.
Validate the Result in Salesforce
After ending the dial session:
Return to the lead record.
You should see a new activity:
Logged with the subject:
Call with PhoneBurner – Set Appointment
.âś… That means your integration is functioning properly.
At this point, you’re officially set up to begin using PhoneBurner inside Salesforce!
You’ve seen how:
Easy it is to start dialing,
Data stays in sync,
And how seamlessly it fits into your existing workflow.
But remember—we’ve got a lot more training to help you maximize the system’s full potential.
Thanks again for watching, and as always—happy dialing!
