đź“‹ Summary
This training video demonstrates how to configure PhoneBurner to recognize custom phone fields from Salesforce as callable numbers within a dial session. By default, PhoneBurner maps to standard fields like Phone, Mobile, and Assistant Phone. However, organizations often store additional numbers in custom fields like “Work Phone 2” or “Secondary Number.”
This video covers how to:
-
Identify custom phone fields in Salesforce,
-
Add those fields to PhoneBurner’s custom field mapping,
-
Ensure they appear in the PhoneBurner dialer as callable options.
Once mapped, reps can call those numbers just like any standard field—streamlining multi-touch efforts on complex contact records.

Hello there, and thank you for taking the time to watch this video.
In this training, we're continuing our Salesforce integration series for PhoneBurner®. If you haven’t been following the videos in order, I highly recommend starting from the beginning—they all build on each other.
Today’s Topic: Dialing Custom Phone Fields in Salesforce
Previously, we showed how to set your primary dialing number for a contact or lead. But what if you’ve added custom phone fields in Salesforce and want PhoneBurner to recognize them as callable numbers?
Let’s walk through that process.
Step 1: Locate the Custom Field in Salesforce
Go to Setup (gear icon in the upper right),
Choose Object Manager,
Search for the object you’re working with (e.g., Lead or Contact),
Click Fields & Relationships,
Find the custom field (e.g.,
Additional_Phone__c
), and copy the API name.Step 2: Add the Field in PhoneBurner
Go to PhoneBurner > Integration Settings,
Click on Salesforce > Details,
Scroll to Field Mappings,
Paste the custom field’s API name into the New Field Mapping field,
Label it however you'd like (e.g., “Additional Work Phone”),
Click Save.
Now this custom phone field will appear in your Custom Mapping section, and PhoneBurner will treat it like any other callable number during your sessions.
Step 3: Test It in a Dial Session
Return to your Lead or Contact list,
Start a dial session with a contact who has that field filled out,
When the dialer opens, you’ll now see the custom number included in the list of callable numbers.
In our example:
We saw “Mobile” as the primary number,
“Phone” as the second,
And now, our custom field “Additional Phone” as a third calling option.
âś… You can even configure this custom number to be the first number dialed, if needed.
So that’s how easy it is to map custom phone fields into PhoneBurner to expand your dialing capabilities.
This ensures your team can reach prospects using all relevant phone numbers—without needing to manually copy and paste.
Thanks again for watching. I hope this helps your team get more done using the power of PhoneBurner.
Happy dialing!
