đź“‹ Summary
This training video explains how to configure your API Key and User Key within Salesforce to unlock two optional but powerful tabs in the PhoneBurner app:
-
Voicemail Recordings Tab – Listen to and manage your PhoneBurner voicemails directly inside Salesforce.

Dial Session History Tab – View past dial sessions without switching over to the PhoneBurner platform.
While not required for basic calling functionality, these keys allow you to enhance the integration experience by centralizing call tools and history within Salesforce.

Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video.
We're continuing our Salesforce integration training for PhoneBurner®. As always, this is part of a full training series, so if you haven’t been watching in order, please go back to the beginning.
Today's Topic: API & User Keys in Salesforce
You may have noticed on the Salesforce integration page in PhoneBurner that there’s a section for API Key and User Key.
First—how to get here:
In PhoneBurner, click your initials (top right).
Go to Integration Settings.
Click into the Salesforce details.
This is where you’ll find your API Key and User Key.
✅ These are optional — they are not required to make calls from Salesforce.
But they unlock powerful in-UI features. What do the API & User Keys do?
When added to Salesforce, they enable:
The Voicemail Recordings tab (view and manage your voicemails),
The Dial Session History tab (see all of your past PhoneBurner dial sessions).
Let’s walk through how to set this up in Salesforce.
Step-by-Step: Setting Named Credentials
In Salesforce, go to Personal Settings.
In Quick Find, type Authentication.
Select Authentication Settings for External Systems.
Click New.
Name it something like
PhoneBurner Named Credential
.Assign the credential to yourself or the appropriate user.
Choose Password Authentication.
Now, go back to PhoneBurner and:
Copy your User Key into the Username field.
Copy your API Key into the Password field.
Save your credential.
Result: Enhanced Salesforce UI
Now when you go back to the:
Voicemail Recordings tab → You’ll see your actual voicemail files.
Dial Session History tab → You can filter and review all your prior dial sessions by month.
All without having to log into PhoneBurner.com.
âś… Again, this is completely optional.
It just brings more PhoneBurner functionality into Salesforce, making your workflow smoother.
Thanks again for watching—I hope this helps you and your team get more done using the power of PhoneBurner.
Happy dialing!
