đź“‹ Summary
This training video focuses on how to effectively use and customize Salesforce list views with PhoneBurner’s custom fields to manage and prioritize outbound calling efforts. When you install the PhoneBurner app, several list views and three powerful custom fields are included:
-
Number of Attempted Calls
-
Last Attempt Date
-
Last Disposition
The video walks through:
-
How to use pre-built list views (e.g., New Leads Attempt 1–5) included in the PhoneBurner package.
-
How to modify filters to fit your actual lead data.
-
How the system automatically updates attempt counts and dates after each dial session.
-
How to combine these fields with other existing fields (like Lead Status) to create highly targeted, self-updating call queues.
This strategy ensures sales reps focus only on leads they need to call right now, eliminating guesswork and improving call rhythm.

📝 Cleaned-Up Transcript
Hello there, and thank you for taking a moment to watch this video.
We are continuing our Salesforce integration training for PhoneBurner®, and this video is part of a structured series. If you haven’t been watching in order, please go back and start from the beginning—they all build on each other.
Topic: List Views That Power Your Dialing Strategy
PhoneBurner is designed to help you make a high volume of calls fast. You’re live on the line with each contact, but we streamline everything else—like logging activity, sending emails, or leaving voicemails—to keep you moving from one call to the next.
For that to work, you need well-structured list views in Salesforce that identify exactly who to call and when.
Out-of-the-Box List Views
When you install the PhoneBurner app, we include a few pre-built lead list views to get you started:
New Leads Attempt 1
Attempt 2
Attempt 3
Attempt 4
Attempt 5
These are designed to support a calling cadence (e.g., daily or every other day follow-ups).
Example: Attempt 1
Filters for leads:
Owned by the current user,
With 0 attempted calls,
Created this week (you may want to remove this part).
If your leads were uploaded last week, they won’t show—so remove the date filter to show all leads with zero attempts.
Example: Attempt 2
Leads with:
1 call attempt
Last attempt NOT today or yesterday
This ensures you're not over-contacting someone too soon after the last touch.
How It Works Dynamically
Let’s say I launch a dial session with Alec and mark him as No Answer.
That call gets logged automatically in Salesforce.
The Number of Attempted Calls increases to 1.
The Last Attempt Date is updated.
Alec now no longer qualifies for Attempt 1, and won’t appear in Attempt 2 either—because the last attempt was today.
Key Custom Fields Created by PhoneBurner:
Number of Attempted Calls
Last Attempt
Last Disposition
These fields:
Are updated via a Salesforce Flow installed with the PhoneBurner package,
Exist on both Leads and Contacts,
Can be added to your list views for quick visibility and filtering.
Example: Creating an Efficient Workflow
You could build a call cadence like:
Call Attempt 1 – 0 attempts
Call Attempt 2 – 1 attempt, not called in the last 2 days
Call Attempt 3 – 2 attempts, not called in the last 2 days
And so on…
You can combine with other fields like:
Lead Status
Source
Region
That way, every list view only shows contacts you need to take action on today.
This is a foundational topic in the PhoneBurner + Salesforce workflow. We’ll continue to revisit and build on it throughout this training series.
Thanks again for watching—this is how you and your team can get more done using the power of PhoneBurner.
Happy dialing!
