Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video.
We’re continuing our Salesforce integration and training series with PhoneBurner®. If you haven’t watched the prior videos, please go back and start from the beginning—they’re designed to build on each other.
At this point, you should be familiar with how to set up your dialer, create list views, and start calling the right leads at the right time.
Now, let’s walk through the actual dialing process.Step 1: Launching a Dial Session
I’ve selected two leads—Alan and Barbara—and I’ll begin a PhoneBurner dial session.
Once connected, I hit Start Dialing.
If a contact doesn’t answer, I don’t have to wait for the voicemail prompt.
With a pre-recorded voicemail set, I can simply click a voicemail button and move on.
If someone answers live, there’s:
No delay,
No awkward pause—you’re immediately connected.
Once the call ends, you have time to:
Update the contact record,
Take notes,
Create follow-up actions—all directly within the dial session window.
Step 2: Inline Editing from the Dialer
Inside the dial session, you’ll see an iframe view of the lead’s Salesforce record.
You can edit fields directly in this view (e.g., change Industry),
When you hit Save, it updates the record in Salesforce in real time.
If you click “Edit in Salesforce”, it opens the full record so you can confirm those updates.
Step 3: Logging Notes – 3 Approaches
Different teams manage notes differently in Salesforce. PhoneBurner supports all common options:
Option 1: Description Field (or Any Text Area)
Add your notes in the Description box (or any custom text field).
Consider including the date for tracking purposes.
Click Save to push the update to Salesforce.
Option 2: Salesforce Notes Object
Click Create Note in the dialer.
Enter a title and note body.
Save it—it becomes a related record on the Lead or Contact in Salesforce.
After saving, refresh the Salesforce record, and you’ll see the new note under the Related tab.
Option 3: Task with Follow-Up Comments
Click Create Follow-Up Task.
Enter a due date, and add any relevant comments.
Save the task—it will log as an activity and can include your note content.
Step 4: Reviewing History
Inside the dialer, you can also view:
Past tasks
Previous notes
This ensures you’re fully informed before every call—and helps you move through dial sessions as fast and efficiently as possible.
No matter how your organization prefers to manage activity logging or notes, PhoneBurner provides an easy and flexible way to integrate those practices into the live dialer workflow.
Thanks again for watching—and as always, happy dialing!
