đź“‹ Summary
This video walks users through the process of enabling the “Begin PhoneBurner Session” button on the Contacts object in Salesforce. Once added, this button allows users to launch Power Dialer sessions directly from contact list views, making it easier to work through large contact datasets with the efficiency of PhoneBurner®.
The setup involves:
-
Navigating to Object Manager in Salesforce Setup,
-
Editing the Search Layouts (Default Layout) and List View Button Layout for the Contacts object,
-
Adding the "Begin PhoneBurner Session" button to both layouts.
This button will only be available after the PhoneBurner app has been properly installed in the Salesforce org. Once configured, users can begin dialing from any contact list view that fits their prospecting criteria.

Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video.
In this training, we’re continuing our Salesforce integration and configuration series—and today we’re focusing on the Contacts object.
Hopefully, you’ve watched the previous videos where we set up dial sessions for the Leads object. But not everyone works out of Leads—many teams work directly from Contacts.
So let’s walk through how to add the button that lets you launch a PhoneBurner Power Dialer session from the Contacts object.
Step-by-Step Setup:
Go to Setup in Salesforce.
Click Object Manager.
Use the Quick Find to search for and select Contact.
Click on Search Layouts for Salesforce Classic or just Search Layouts depending on your version.
Edit the Default Layout.
In the available custom buttons, you should see “Begin PhoneBurner Session.”
If you don’t see it, make sure the PhoneBurner app is installed correctly.
Select the button and click Add, then click Save.
Add the Button to the List View:
On the left-hand menu, click List View Button Layout.
(This label may vary slightly depending on your Salesforce version.)
Click Edit for the layout.
In the available custom buttons, again select “Begin PhoneBurner Session.”
Add the button and Save.
Final Step:
Go back to your Contacts tab in Salesforce.
Refresh the page.
Ensure you’re on a List View (not split view or Kanban).
You should now see the “Begin PhoneBurner Session” button at the top.
And that’s it! That’s how easy it is to add PhoneBurner dial session functionality to the Contacts object, so you and your team can start working through your contact lists faster using the power of PhoneBurner.
Thanks again—and happy dialing!
