đź“‹ Summary
This training video explains how to create and manage dynamic list views in the Salesforce Contacts object to systematically work through outbound calling efforts using PhoneBurner®. After installing the PhoneBurner app, three custom fields—Number of Attempted Calls, Last Attempt Date, and Last Disposition—are automatically added and updated after each dial session.
The video demonstrates how to:
-
Build and clone custom list views based on call attempt data,
-
Use filter logic to create sequenced call workflows (e.g., Call 1, Call 2),
-
Automatically remove contacts from lists once they've been contacted,
-
Prevent redundant follow-ups by filtering based on disposition outcomes (e.g., exclude "Set Appointment"),
-
Leverage field logic such as “Last Attempt Date not equal to today” to avoid over-contacting prospects.
The approach enables teams to work more efficiently by allowing reps to always call the right people at the right time, without needing to manually track outreach progress.

Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video.
In this training, we’re continuing our Salesforce integration and setup series—specifically focusing on dialing from the Contacts object using the PhoneBurner® Power Dialer.
If you’ve followed along in previous videos, you’ve already learned how to:
Launch dial sessions from the Contacts object,
And how the system updates three key fields:
Number of Attempted Calls
Last Attempt Date
Last Disposition
Now we’ll show you how to leverage those fields to build powerful list views for managing your prospecting cadence.
Step 1: Create a List View for Call 1
Clone your existing list view and name it “Call 1.”
Add filters:
Number of Attempted Calls = Blank
OR = 0
Use filter logic to change
1 AND 2 AND 3
to(1 OR 2)
—this ensures the list includes contacts with either condition, not both.Once you start calling through this list, contacts will automatically drop off once they’ve been called.
Step 2: Clone for “Call 2”
Clone “Call 1” list view and name it “Call 2.”
Filter for:
Number of Attempted Calls = 1
Last Attempt Date ≠Today
This ensures you’re only seeing contacts who were called once, but not today, allowing appropriate follow-up timing.
Step 3: Test Your Setup
Perform a quick dial session using two test contacts.
Leave a voicemail for one,
Mark the other as Set Appointment.
After the session:
Return to Call 1 list: Both contacts will no longer appear—they don’t meet the “0 or blank” filter anymore.
Go to Call 2: Still empty if the Last Attempt Date is today.
If desired, adjust the date filter to “= Today” to see who was just called.
Step 4: Add Disposition-Based Filtering
Want to exclude contacts with certain call outcomes (e.g., already scheduled)?
Add a filter:
Last Disposition ≠Set Appointment
Use this to prevent unnecessary re-calls on the same day.
You can also automate this further:
Create a flow that updates the Contact Status based on disposition (e.g., if “Set Appointment,” update status to “Appointment Set”).
Then build list views based on status for a simpler workflow.
This approach allows you to create dynamic, self-updating call lists in Salesforce, making it easy to:
Stay organized,
Reduce manual filtering,
And ensure consistent follow-up cadences.
Thanks again for taking the time to watch this video. I hope it helps you and your team get more done using the power of PhoneBurner.
