In this training, we’re continuing our Salesforce integration and setup, and more specifically, focusing on the Opportunities object.

This is part of a full training series to help you and your team take full advantage of the PhoneBurner Power Dialer inside Salesforce.

If you’ve already learned how to dial from Leads and Contacts—great! Now we’re talking about Opportunities.

If your team uses Opportunities to manage deals, you may want to launch PhoneBurner sessions directly from your Opportunity list views.

Before you do that, you need to ask:

• Do you want to call the Opportunity record itself?

• Or do you want to call the Contact related to that Opportunity?

That might sound a little confusing now, but don’t worry—we’ll cover it all in this Opportunities training section.

First Step: Add the Dialer Buttons

• Click on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner and go to Setup.

• In the Quick Find, search for and click Opportunity under Object Manager.

• On the left-hand side, click Search Layouts.

• Under the Default Layout, click the dropdown and choose Edit.

Now you'll see two PhoneBurner buttons:

• Begin Contact PhoneBurner Session

• Begin Opportunity PhoneBurner Session

• Add both buttons and click Save.

Next:

• Click on List View Button Layout (still under the Opportunity object).

• Click Edit, add both buttons again, and click Save.

Final Step:

• Go back to your Opportunity list view tab.

• Refresh the page, and now you’ll see both PhoneBurner buttons.

• You can now select your Opportunities and start either:

  • A Contact PhoneBurner session, or

  • An Opportunity PhoneBurner session.
