đź“‹ Summary
This training video walks through how to configure PhoneBurner® dial sessions for custom objects in Salesforce, such as a user-created “Property” object. While standard Salesforce objects like Leads and Contacts are pre-configured in the PhoneBurner package, custom objects require manual setup.
Using the PhoneBurner Lightning App, users can navigate to the Create Configuration tool, which allows them to select:
-
The custom object they wish to dial from (e.g., "Property"),
-
The target record type to be called—either the custom object itself (Property) or a related object, such as a Contact.
This configuration adds the ability to launch PhoneBurner dial sessions directly from the custom object, giving users flexibility to initiate calls based on custom data structures. Multiple configurations can be created—for example, to call both the Property and the associated Contact—ensuring versatility for diverse business use cases.

Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to watch this video. In this training, we’re continuing our Salesforce integration and setup for the PhoneBurner® app.
Specifically, we’re focusing on custom objects.
So far in this training series, we've been working with standard Salesforce objects like Leads and Contacts. But many organizations have custom objects—in my case, I created one called “Properties.”
This Property object helps me keep track of things like homes or businesses. Naturally, I may want to initiate PhoneBurner dial sessions directly from this object.
That way, I can:
Use custom object fields to identify the records I want to call,
And launch dial sessions directly from within that object.
Step-by-Step Setup:
Click on the nine-dot App Launcher in the top left.
Search for and open the PhoneBurner Lightning App.
In this app, you should see:
Create Configuration
Update Configuration
(If you don’t see these, you may need to edit the app and add these navigation items manually.)
Let’s continue:
Click on Create Configuration.
In the dropdown, select the custom object you want to configure (in this case, “Property”).
Then choose the Field API Name that determines what record to call when the dial session is launched.
If you choose Property, you’ll dial the Property record itself, which requires a phone field on the Property object.
If you choose Contact, the dial session will call the related contact tied to the property.
💡 Tip: You can configure both options—one to call the property record, another to call the related contact.
So in this example:
I selected “Contact” for one configuration,
Then added a second row for “Property.”
After clicking Create Mapping, your configuration is set.
Review or Edit:
Click on Update Configuration to view your mappings.
You can edit or delete any mapping from there.
And that’s how easy it is to create dial session configurations for custom objects using the tools provided in the PhoneBurner Lightning App.
I hope this helps your team get more done in less time using the power of PhoneBurner.
Thanks again—and happy dialing!
