✅ Video Summary
This training video introduces the PhoneBurner® integration with Nimble CRM, developed by the Nimble team using the PhoneBurner API. The integration allows users to launch dial sessions directly from Nimble, making outreach faster, more efficient, and more organized while automatically updating contact records based on call outcomes.
Key Highlights of the Integration:
-
Seamless Dial Session Launch:
-
Users can build Nimble workflows and identify contacts in pipeline stages like "New Lead".
-
From a contact segment view, users select records and choose “Create Dial Session” from the actions menu.
-
The selected contacts are queued into a PhoneBurner dial session.
-
-
Flexible Session Configuration:
-
Choose phone scripts, dialing & live answer sets, and voicemail.
-
Configure caller ID, enable pause and preview, and choose to record calls.
-
Connection can be made via headset or dial-in phone call.
-
-
Live Call Execution:
-
Leave pre-recorded voicemails with 1-click or leave live voicemails manually.
-
No delay or awkward silence when prospects answer—calls connect immediately.
-
After a call, users can take time to update CRM records directly in Nimble.
-
-
Use of Dispositions for Automation:
-
Choose from custom dispositions like “Set Appointment” or “Not Interested”.
-
Dispositions can trigger emails and SMS (approval required).
-
Dispositions also move contacts through Nimble workflows, such as "Demo Scheduled" or "Closed Lost".
-
-
CRM Field Mapping and Personalization:
-
Specific fields from Nimble can be mapped into PhoneBurner.
-
Phone scripts can include dynamic contact data, helping users stay informed and personalized.
-
-
Workflow Updates:
-
As calls are made and dispositions selected, Nimble pipelines update in real-time.
-
Example: A contact moves from "New Lead" to "Demo Scheduled" or "Closed Lost" based on the disposition.
-
Results:
With this integration, teams can:
-
Call 3–4x faster than traditional methods.
-
Keep the CRM automatically updated.

Hello there, and thank you for taking a moment to watch this video. In this training, I want to give you a quick overview of the PhoneBurner® integration within Nimble CRM.
The team at Nimble built this integration using the PhoneBurner API, enabling you and your team to start getting more done in less time by leveraging PhoneBurner’s power dialer—directly inside Nimble.
Why This Matters
If you're like most people, you're spending your day identifying leads—people you want to build relationships with. You're creating workflows and adding them to pipelines, trying to move them through your funnel.
In my demo pipeline, I have 12 contacts in the New Lead stage. That’s where the chase begins. That’s where you need to get more done in less time—and that’s where the PhoneBurner integration helps.
Launching a Dial Session in Nimble
I go to the Contacts section, where I’ve created a segment called “First Call.” This helps me isolate leads I need to reach out to—possibly for the first time.
-
I select all the records I want to call.
-
From the Actions menu, I choose “Create Dial Session.”
This queues the selected contacts into a PhoneBurner session.
Dial Session Setup Options
Before calling, I can configure the session:
-
Phone Script: Select what I want on-screen while talking.
-
Dialing & Live Answer Sets: Custom buttons to reflect call outcomes.
-
Voicemail: Leave a pre-recorded message without listening to the full greeting.
-
Caller ID: Choose the number displayed.
-
Pause & Preview: Take time between calls if needed.
-
Call Recording: Enable or disable recording.
Once everything is set, I hit Continue and connect to PhoneBurner.
I can use either my phone or a headset with mic access. I choose headset and grant access.
Making the Calls
-
Click Start Dialing to begin.
-
The first record loads—say it's Rachel.
-
If it goes to voicemail, I just click the Voicemail button and move on.
-
If I prefer to leave a live voicemail, I wait for the beep and then click Live Voicemail.
-
No voicemail? Just click No Answer.
-
Now I’m calling Ryan:
-
If he answers, there’s no pause, no delay, no awkward silence—just a seamless connection.
-
When I’m done, I click Live Answer and then End Call.
After each call, I have time to update CRM records as needed.
I can:
-
Go back to Nimble.
-
Look up the contact.
-
Update notes or take further actions.
When I’m ready to move on, I go back to the dial session and choose the appropriate disposition:
-
For example, if Ryan says he’s not interested, I click Not Interested, and move on.
Now I’m calling Heather:
-
Again, a live connection.
-
When finished, I update her record.
-
If she books a demo, I select Set Appointment, and on to the next.
Dynamic Field Mapping and Script Personalization
You’re not flying blind—PhoneBurner allows you to sync specific Nimble fields into your dial session window.
Scripts can be customized with dynamic merge fields, ensuring you always have the right data at your fingertips, including names, companies, and more.
Workflow Automation via Dispositions
Dispositions can trigger:
-
Emails.
-
Text messages (requires approval).
-
CRM workflow automations in Nimble.
As I continue dialing, contacts in Nimble are automatically moved through the pipeline:
-
"New Lead" count goes down.
-
"Demo Scheduled" and "Closed Lost" counts go up—based on call outcomes.
Conclusion
As you can see, with this integration, you're going to power through calls 3–4x faster than traditional methods.
When you take the time to configure it properly:
-
Your CRM stays up to date.
-
Your outreach becomes smarter.
-
Your workflow gets more strategic.
Thanks again for watching, and happy dialing with PhoneBurner + Nimble CRM!
