Summary
This video emphasizes the importance of properly logging call results in Salesforce using PhoneBurner to improve filtering and organization. Key points include:
-
The Problem with Call Activity Logs:
- When call results are only stored in the call activity log, they are difficult to filter in Salesforce.
- Without this data directly in the contact record, it's challenging to create efficient calling lists.
-
PhoneBurner’s Solution:
- PhoneBurner automatically logs call activities to Salesforce.
- Using a flow included with the PhoneBurner package, the Call Result value is automatically copied to the Last Disposition field on the contact record.
-
Creating Efficient Filters:
- By filtering contacts based on the Last Disposition field, teams can easily exclude or prioritize specific call outcomes.
- Example: Filter out contacts with the disposition Appointment to focus on leads that still require follow-up.
-
Standardizing Dispositions:
- PhoneBurner ensures consistent call result logging, so every team member follows the same process when dispositioning calls.
By leveraging PhoneBurner’s call logging features and dynamic list views in Salesforce, your team can save time, improve data accuracy, and focus on the right prospects.

It is critical that you and your organization log the result of the last call directly to the contact record.
Too often, I see organizations leaving the call result buried in the call activity log itself.
For example, here’s a contact that was called, and the result was marked as Voicemail and Email.
The problem? Because that information is only in the call activity log, you can’t easily filter by that result when reviewing your contacts.
Back in my contact list, there’s no way to filter based on the last call result — making it difficult to efficiently identify the right contacts for follow-up.
But don’t worry — if your organization is using PhoneBurner, every call activity is automatically logged to that record in Salesforce.
Even better, PhoneBurner’s included flow automatically copies the Call Result to the Last Disposition field on the contact record.
This makes it easy to filter contacts using the Last Disposition field.
For example, let’s say I want to exclude anyone who had a call result of Appointment. I can:
- Add a filter for Last Disposition.
- Select Does Not Contain: Appointment.
- Save the filter.
Now, any contacts with a Last Disposition containing the word “Appointment” are removed from my view.
Exactly what you and your organization choose to include or exclude is entirely up to you — but the key is that PhoneBurner standardizes call results.
With standardized dispositions, your team consistently logs call outcomes the same way, ensuring accurate data and effective list management.
This is just one more example of how PhoneBurner helps you and your team get the most out of your data.
So what are you waiting for? Start building Dynamic List Views in Salesforce to maximize your efficiency and get more done in less time using the power of PhoneBurner.
Thanks for watching, and happy dialing!
