What are Number Pools?
A number pool is a group of numbers that share rules and settings to help you optimize inbound and outbound call experiences. Number Pools give you more control over your PhoneBurner-purchased numbers and caller ID strategy.
Why should I use them?
Use Number Pools to take the guesswork out of your Caller ID strategy, handle call activity evenly across all of your Numbers for a better caller ID reputation, and to take advantage of unique inbound call routing configurations for each of your dialing campaigns.
How should I name them?
As a best practice, match the name of your Number Pool to the name of the dialing campaign/list that it will be used for. For example, the ‘Monday’ call list Number Pool should be named after a ‘Monday’ Contact folder/list, a ‘Win Back’ Number Pool is named after a ‘Win Back’ campaign, etc.
I already have Number Pools created. Where did they come from?
All active (previously purchased) Numbers will be automatically placed into a Number Pool once the feature is enabled. Each time new Numbers are purchased, they will be placed into a New Number Pool.
How many numbers can I add to a pool?
Up to as many as you need. Create as many pools as needed to organize the calls and campaigns you make.
How do I use Number Pools with my dial session?
Using Number Pools with your dial session is easy! Simply select the desired Number Pool from your Caller ID drop-down when you start up a dial session. Only the Numbers in the selected Number Pool will rotate randomly as the caller ID display for your dial session.
Are the numbers in a pool rotated during dial sessions?
Yes. As calls are made, a number from your pool will be randomly selected at the start of a call. While it won’t be exact, your call volume will essentially be evenly distributed among all of the numbers in your pool.
Can I pause/delete a number in a pool?
Yes. A number can remain in a pool in a paused state. Or it can be deleted altogether if you no longer need the number.
