PhoneBurner can and will check the status of an email assuming you are using our servers and have not setup your own SMTP server. To do so, please review the steps below.
Note: If you create a SmartPack you can check the status of emails regardless of how they are sent.
Checking the Status
1. Click Contacts towards the tops center
2. Click Advanced Search next to the search bar
3. Click Email Status
You can also check the status of emails in the individual contact record under the Activity tab
1. Click a contact, any contact
2. Click Activity, see below
Note: A false email opening message is possible.
If this occurs, it is likely that the recipient's email provider is checking the message for spam or viruses, which might load the tracking image and trigger an "open" activity. This is becoming more common and unfortunately, there isn't anything we can do about it, as we can't tell whether or not the tracking pixel was loaded by the intended recipient or something/someone else along the way.
Lastly, you can check the status of an individual email by simply clicking the Home tab in the top left of the upper nav bar and review the information to the right (for a summary) and at the bottom
