An approved business profile paves the way for improved reputation, deliverability and volume thresholds for both phone and text communications by providing A-level attestation and A2P 10DLC registration. Steps to fix the most common rejections are below. Once these items above are updated, simply resubmit your profile for approval.
Rejection Message: The Business ID could not be verified or is not in active status.
Resolution: Check for ID accuracy and ensure that the business name on your PhoneBurner Business Profile matches the name on file on your business registration. If you have no changes to re-submit, email one form of proof of registration to email@example.com:
- IRS documentation showing your ID number
- A link from the Secretary of State/ Business Registry showing entity incorporation details
- The company registration/file number and the name of the Secretary of State
Rejection Message: The address entered cannot be verified or found in an authoritative address database.
Resolution: Update your PhoneBurner Business Profile with your company’s current operational address. Please note that PO boxes are not accepted.
Rejection Message: The business name does not match the website SSL certificate or the website URL, or the association cannot be verified.
Resolution: Please update your Business Profile so that the business legal name is aligned with your company’s website. If this is not feasible, email firstname.lastname@example.org and explain how these two are connected and submit a link from the public source which shows these connections.
Rejection Message: Unable to verify Authorized representative #1 and their affiliation with the business.
Resolution: Please change the representative in your PhoneBurner Business Profile to an individual that can be verified as a business representative via publicly available sources. This individual would need to be named on a company website, LinkedIn, Secretary of State website or any other public database.
Rejection Message: Additional information required in regards to your use case.
Resolution: See “The Business ID could not be verified or is not in active status.”
Rejection Message: We are unable to review the contents of the website listed on your business profile.
Resolution: Double-check that there are no typos in your URL and update this field with a live website. If the company does not have a functional website, please email email@example.com to explain your business use-case.
