Number Monitoring
Number monitoring gives you the visibility and insight to minimize the appearance of “Scam Likely” flags on your numbers, making customers more likely to answer your calls. We provide real-time monitoring of your PhoneBurner numbers across all of the major spam-blocking apps.
While there are many factors the apps weigh when applying flags, the occurrence or recurrence of a flag could be a sign that your dialing behavior is negatively impacting your number's reputation. Phone numbers with inconsistent dialing volumes or spam-like calling behaviors prompt people to report your number(s), which results in a flag. You will be notified in your account and via email if a flag is detected. A flag will also appear next to the number on your Local ID page.
*The notification feature is turned on by default. To modify, you will need to enable the notification for this in the My Account - System Alerts settings:
You can quickly pause numbers to take them out of rotation while waiting for the flag to clear and analyzing which behaviors may have led to your number(s) getting flagged to avoid those tactics in the future.
We will notify you again when a flag clears so you can resume any paused numbers.
*Please note that the absence of a flag doesn't necessarily mean there are no flags but that you can feel confident using the number because it does not have any widespread issues.
To enable the Number monitoring feature, you will navigate to the Local ID page, then toggle the Number monitoring icon from off to on (as seen below). There is a $2/month fee per number.

*We are monitoring all of the major blocking apps. Because every call/and recipient uses a different combination of carriers and apps, it's impossible to have 100% effectiveness.
