vPhone allows the incoming calls to be routed in 3 ways:
- Forward to an existing phone number
- Send to voicemail
- Ring in your active dial session
When forwarding to an existing phone number, incoming calls will ring to the number you set in the vPhone settings. If the call is not answered, it will go back to the voicemail set up and enabled in vPhone.
When using the call forwarding feature the answerer will be prompted to 'accept' the call. This cannot be disabled, as it ensures that the call is not routed to an external voicemail.
When routing to voicemail is enabled, vPhone only routes to the voicemail box if other other routes have not answered the call (our timeout is just under 30 seconds, similar to when a normal phone will answer with voicemail).
