How can I dial a number directly from a contact record with a softphone?

Contacts can be called without starting a dial session from within an individual contact record (Click to call) . 

There is an alternative way to call contacts without starting a dial session. This is done directly from the individual contact record. If you are dialing from the contact record/clicking on the Phone Icon next to the number. 

This call does not go through the PhoneBurner dialer and is not part of a dial session.

Please Note: Calls made with this method are NOT tracked in your Dial Session history or reporting, but will show on the call activity tab as a "You called" as opposed to "Using PhoneBurner, you called".

There will also not be a way to disposition the call since the contact is not called within a Dial Session. When dialing from the contact record, the caller ID will show what is set up as your first verified Caller id number in your account, or your vPhone number if you have one.

NOTE: You must have a verified Caller id number set up for this to work.  A number that has been manually verified by support will not work .
